AdaptiveBlue, a NYC based startup, is looking for a talented Software Engineer
to help build our social recommendation service
http://GetGlue.com.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in semantic technologies,
skilled with algorithms and proficient in Java. You will be joining a sharp
team of people who are passionate about quality and awesomeness of software.
You`ll be working on our Java backend built on top of Amazon Web Services.
Your daily responsibilities will include expanding the web service, writing unit tests,
doing code reviews - contributing to all aspects of the development cycle.
Requirements:
* B.S. or higher in CS, Math or engineering
* At least 3 years of software engineering in Java
* Appreciation for simple and elegant code
* Deep understanding of basic data structures and algorithms
* Understanding of distributed computing, including queues, sockets and threads
* Hands on experience with Unit Testing / JUnit / Refactoring
* Knowledge of XML/XSL/SQL
